THE HEADWATERS STORY
Jim C. Hickey recently pivoted a 20-year, world-class fly-fishing career into a successful and growing real state business, launching Headwaters by JCH in 2015. Jim is also a Sales Associate with RE/MAX Obsidian Real Estate. He is a Licensed Realtor in Wyoming and Idaho.
Providing the highest level of personal care combined with his connections and fondness for the region proved to make Jim and Headwaters a natural addition to the local real estate landscape.
Jim explains, “Helping someone find their perfect match for a property in this area thrills me. Watching and listening to their excitement about a property, and then making that property a reality for them, is a rush. Specifically, it inspires me to help my clients achieve their dream for the western lifestyle like I once did.”
Whether clients are seeking a full-time residence, second home or investment property, Headwaters offers distinctive homes and properties for every taste and lifestyle.
Jim’s approach to real estate is best described as mindful persistence. His observation skills, attention to detail, focus, and a sense of what could work for someone in a given situation creates unparalleled opportunities––whether it’s for hunting the ideal fish, the ideal animal, or the ideal property.
- Listening to clients describe their expectations, their likes and dislikes, the things that inspire them and get them excited and then being able to help them meet and often exceed those expectations is one of Jim’s strengths.
- Reliability and attentiveness to both clients and to details helps Jim serve his clients in a customer-focused and personal way.
- Jim’s “why-not” attitude about work and life has led him and his clients on some unique and successful journeys that might have escaped a more conventional approach.
In real estate, emotion can often cloud a transaction, and clients can grow weary of the process. Jim’s ability to stay focused on the goal enables him to stay on task and make the process efficient and successful, keeping the clients excited and, ultimately, satisfied.
